Are these just as good for hunting as the Leupold Santium BX5 15x56 for clarity and light gathering ability at dusk and dawn or is one better?

The SIG SAUER Zulu 9 HDX 15x56mm Roof Prism Binoculars would work well for hunting but not being able to compare them side by side makes it hard to give a accurate opinion on glass clarity and light gathering between the two.

The SIG SAUER Zulu 9 HDX 15x56mm Roof Prism Binoculars do not have locking diopter adjustment.

What does close-bridge design mean and is a locking diopter helpful in a high power binocular?

Close bridge design is typically a 1 piece bridge that you can not put your hand through, unlike an open bridge. The locking diopter is helpful for high magnification binoculars.
