The Smith & Wesson 11549 Performance Center Slide Kit MS 9mm 4.25" is designed for the 1.0 M&P 9. It can fit a 2.0 frame but since the slide stop and notch are different the slide will not lock back.

You should not be able to engage the striker by pulling the trigger if there is no magazine installed in the pistol.

That is something you would need to verify with Smith and Wesson directly as we cannot advise modification of your existing frame to accommodate this slide kit.

According to S&W, it will not fit the 2.0 pistols. I have seen some people who have tried it and it has worked for some, but it seems to be hit or miss. For safety's sake, it is generally discouraged as reliability could be a factor.
