Yes. The Streamlight ProTac HL X 1000 Lumen Flashlight can be used with either 2xCR123 batteries or an 18650 rechargeable battery.

The only difference is between the box and clam models is the packaging. The box is the standard cardboard material, whereas clam packaging is sealed plastic.
