A muzzle device is not included for barrel length, for any and all legality issues please check your local state and county laws, you may also have to contact your local ATF agency.

A pinned and welded muzzle device is ABSOLUTELY included in overall barrel length. The “expert answer” is 100% incorrect. Do better Optics Planet

Federal law says it must be pinned and the accessory device welded to the pin. Commonly called pin and welded. And the overall length then must be 16" or longer to be legal. Screw your muzzle device all the way onto your barrel and check overall length before drilling any holes in your barrel. If all the above criteria are met you are good to go. Good luck!

The brake and crush washer measure 2.725. Remember to account for thread overlap! Thats including the crush washer, but not the nut. The brake alone is 2.625.
