I would recommend using a heavy buffer, most likely an H3.
looking at the instructions for the one I have, manufacturer suggests running a standard buffer
Simply put, kynshot HYDRAULIC buffer! It’s IDENTICAL to HIGH END trophy trucks that do the Baja races that they need extreme dampening for all the bumps and hands down if you want the BEST shooting AND SMOOTHEST EVER on EVERYTHING including you the hydraulic buffer is the way to go! Yeah, it costs about 50-80% more, BUT NO RATTLE of weights inside, ZERO, ZERO tuning needed to allow the gun to run. You of course can buy an adjustable gas block to finer tune, but 98% of the time this one part will have your gun running fine and better than any standard buffer. The hydraulic buffer isn’t just a weighted part to slow down the mass of the BCG, it also has a legit shock absorber that truly works wonders and up to this day there is zero, zero buffer and/or spring system that beats just the hydraulic buffers! FYI… look into David Tubb’s buffer springs as they too make the recoil pulse extra smooth due to the flat wire approach and the incredible design and materials they used as it takes LESS pulling power especially near the end of the pull on the charging handle, but chambers faster and with way less or no bolt bounce so now to all those who have the privilege of seeing this now know the very best recoil system for any AR. FYI… make sure you buy the correct hydraulic buffer for your needs as there is a 300 blackout specific that is made for the very low recoiling caliber, but most all other calibers that fit the AR15 platform will work across the board from 5.56, 7.62x39, etc. and fir the big thumpers like .458 SOCOM can get a more higher performance hydraulic buffer to accommodate the harder hitting bigger calibers.
Also watch for need of Straight Gas Tube on larger sized gas block. Ruined my gas key after one shot using standard bent tube.
