This optic is not intended for close quarters, it will be difficult to use this optic a ranges of 10 yards or less.

3x is fine if both eyes are open.

Magnified optics shouldn’t be used in close quarters by viewing through it normally like a red dot. Instead they can be made to work by using the “bindon aiming concept”, which allows you to superimpose the reticle from your right eye with the open view of the left eye. This technique is what is used with ACOGs.

you need the one x up close it has a line for 5 yards 10 yards and 15 at the bottom of the reticle
