Yes, the Timney Triggers Mauser Featherweight Trigger will work with that model of Mauser rifle. You will need to use the Mauser Model 98FN Trigger.

Will this trigger work in a 1917 Gew 98 made in Danzig Germany?

YES, If they do not require a safety on the 1917 GEW. In addition they must know the measurement of the trigger guard, from front to back, where it tapers. FN will measure 2” from front to back in the trigger guard, K will measure 1 ¾” from front to back in the trigger guard.
