Bergara states in the B14 manual that trigger pull should not be set below 2.8 lbs. because of the heavy firing pin and accompanying spring, trigger adjustment for the TriggerTech Diamond is 4 oz - 32 oz (32 oz. = 2 lbs.); so the answer would be NO, it is below 2.8 lbs. However the TriggerTech Special's rate of adjustment is 1.0lbs-3.5lbs and it would be good to go as long as you keep it at 2.8 lbs. or above.

I have the Bergara B14 Ridge, both triggertech and Timney triggers will fit in Bergara rifles. They are 700 clones, Bergara puts triggertech triggers in their premier rifles. You can remove the bolt release from the trigger, since it is useless on the Bergara rifles. Due to their bolt release location on the receiver.

I have ran a TT Diamond in my B14 HMR for the past year at 10 ounces and it has performed flawlessly.
