Bergara states in the B14 manual that trigger pull should not be set below 2.8 lbs. because of the heavy firing pin and accompanying spring, trigger adjustment for the TriggerTech Diamond is 4 oz - 32 oz (32 oz. = 2 lbs.); so the answer would be NO, it is below 2.8 lbs. However the TriggerTech Special's rate of adjustment is 1.0lbs-3.5lbs and it would be good to go as long as you keep it at 2.8 lbs. or above.
Triggertech is a better trigger in my opinion, but everyone has an opinion and those are worthless. If it helps make up your mind, the triggertech diamond is the standard in the long range prs game where I have yet to see a geissele appear.
Yes, this item will work with your Remington 700.
Response from Triggertech "Due to a wide variance in Remington actions, we do not consider our Diamond trigger compatible with factory Rem700s though, which is why it is not offered with a bolt release.
What typically happens with an incorrectly timed action is that it will follow on hard closing. Generally the cocking piece will hit our sear too early or inconsistently, which makes it not possible to use a 4 oz trigger safely and reliably.
REM Diamond triggers are designed for after-market cloned actions that have the bolt release built into the action itself and the actions are properly timed.
We do recommend our Special Model for the factory Rem700s and its pull weight range is 1.0 - 3.5 lbs and can come equipped with a bolt release."
No it will not because this item is for a Remington 700 and your Tikka T3X is chambered in a different caliber.
Yes, this is a top safety trigger.
Yes, it comes with a safety for the 700.
It should however you may want to confirm with Christensen Arms directly.
Triggertech does not currently offer a trigger for Ruger Precision Rifle.
