The P320 M17 is optic cut for optics that share the Leupold DeltaPoint Pro footprint. Since the Trijicon RMR uses a different footprint, it is not compatible with the M17 without an adapter plate. As for the RMR itself, there are many options that can be used for a variety of purposes. Smaller dots will equate to more precise shooting while larger dots allow for faster target acquisition.
