The P320 M17 is optic cut for optics that share the Leupold DeltaPoint Pro footprint. Since the Trijicon RMR uses a different footprint, it is not compatible with the M17 without an adapter plate. The Trijicon RMR/SRO Adapter Plate for Sig Sauer P320 (linked below) would mount to your slide and convert it to accept the Trijicon RMR. As for the RMR itself, there are many options that can be used for a variety of purposes. Smaller dots will equate to more precise shooting while larger dots allow for faster target acquisition. The RMR's listed on this page are dual illuminated models that require no batteries to function but will rely Soley on the light they collect in the fiber optics and tritium to power the dot when no light is available. LED models use a battery loaded at the bottom that allow you to adjust the brightness manually (or automatically for buttonless models) which is the preferred feature as everyone's eyes are different and you may prefer a specific brightness setting that the dual illuminated models do not offer. Email us at Techsales@opticsplanet.com for more information and assistance in selecting an optic for your needs. The adapter plate required to install an RMR to an M17 is linked below, it will include the hardware required.
