when adjusting windage and elevation, is it a 1/4inch of movement at 35 yrds or something else??

TruGlo dos not provide the adjustment values of their Crossbow Red-Dot Sight. I would recommend contacting them directly for more information.

are there instructions for the sight? like where the battery is?

The battery is accessed by removing the large cap on top with the coin slot, that knob conterols the brightness.

The other two knobs are windage and elevation adjustments.

Can the three dots be set at 20,30 and 40 yds.

The top dot is for approximately 20 yards, the middle dot is for approximately 35 yards, and the bottom dot is for approximately 45 yards. The dots cannot be changed for different distances.

does this scope fit on a picatinny rail or do i need an adapter?

The mount for this is intended for weaver rails, though it can still be mounted to a picatinny rail.

Can this be suitable to be used on an AR 15 in 300 Blackout?
