It works perfectly on the Vltor RE-A5 buffer tube with an SBA5/SBA3-style brace despite manufacturers being unable to officially confirm fitment. A must-have for anyone running the A5 system on a duty or range rifle.

No, it requires a longer A5 buffer tube, which is the same length as many 308 buffer tubes. If you use a Vltor A5 buffer tube with the SBA3 brace it will have a longer length of pull, but that may put you in hot water with the ATF.
