I recently purchased the Superlative Arms Adjustable Bleed-Off Gas Block (AR-15) from OpticsPlanet and couldn’t be more impressed.

I’m running this on a 12.5” Faxon mid-length barrel, and the performance difference was immediately noticeable. The bleed-off system does exactly what it’s designed to do—vents excess gas forward instead of just restricting it. The result? Smoother recoil impulse, flatter shooting, and significantly reduced gas to the face.

Tuning was straightforward and repeatable. Once dialed in, the rifle cycles consistently and runs extremely clean. Ejection pattern is solid and predictable, and the overall feel of the rifle is much softer compared to a standard set screw gas block.

The machining and finish are top-notch, exactly what you’d expect from Superlative Arms. Lock-up is secure, adjustments are positive, and it holds its setting.

OpticsPlanet shipped quickly and the product arrived exactly as described. Great price, great service, and a great upgrade for anyone looking to fine-tune their rifle.

Great upgrade for a 12.5" AR build. The Vltor RE-A5 A5 Receiver Extension is extremely well made and noticeably improves recoil impulse and reliability. Paired with the right buffer and spring, it smooths out the cycle on my 12.5" setup and feels more controlled during rapid fire. Excellent machining, solid fit, and a must-have for anyone running the A5 system on a duty or range rifle.

These LANTAC timing shims for 1/2x28 barrels are a simple upgrade that makes a noticeable difference. The stainless steel construction feels solid and precise, and they’re super easy to install — just stack to get your muzzle device indexed perfectly with no guesswork. I’ve used them to dial in several compensators and brakes, and the end result is crisp, consistent timing every time. Small part, big impact — especially if you care about how your brake sits and functions.

I’ve been running the Magpul TMAG MK16/16S 30-round magazine in my rifles and it’s been consistently reliable with everything from NATO surplus to premium match ammo. The FDE transparent body not only looks great, it lets you see your remaining rounds at a glance, which is super handy in practice and on the line. I’ve been running the Reptilia AUS Optic Mount on my rifle and I’m genuinely impressed. It’s rock solid yet light, with great machining and a clean, low-profile look that just feels premium.
