It would be a good scope ONLY if your daughters rifle requires a scout style scope that has a long eye relief. This scope is a scout scope that has a 10 inch eye relief meant to be mounted in the "scout" position on a rifle. This means that it is mounted forward of the action usually on the handguard/forend of a rifle and about 10 inches from the shooters eye.

Repost your question with a description of the rifle besides just the caliber. You must understand that long-eye-relief scopes are not for just any rifle and application. EG, is it a rifle design that NEEDS an LER optic?
