I'd be surprised it the Tango Down covers for the Aimpoint are compatible. The Crossfire does come with lens covers.

This optic comes with 2 mounting options. One to co-witness the sights on an AR-15 and a low mount for pistols and other rifles. The Crossfire with the low mount would be a great optic for your 10/22. You will need a picatinny or weaver style rail on your 10/22 to mount it.

The Crossfire is waterproof. While Vortex doesn't explicitly say it is shockproof, it is nonetheless an extremely durable sight.
It is a sight having the dot appear inside the unit. It does not project a laser beam.
