This is designed for mounting optics with a 1/4-20 thread. Vortex does not list a load weight specification, please contact Vortex directly for this information.

Can this be attached to the pic rail under the handguard of a rifle?

I want to buy these along with a Vortex Vulture 15x56 binos. Will the binos attach to this tri pod out of the box or do I need some kind of adapter?

Accessories included with the the Vulture HD 15x56 are Rainguard eyepiece cover, tethered objective lens covers, comfort neck strap, deluxe padded carry case, tripod adapter.
