I normally use scopes 10x the cost of this one but I’m considering it for a budget lightweight build. This will make a great hunting scope unless you are hunting in brush or a thick forest at less than 75 yds. In that case, something with lower magnification of 1 or 2 instead of 4 might be more ideal but this could still be easily used at those closer ranges. The 16x is more than enough power to hunt at any range your rifle can reach with enough power to take an animal
