I am thinking about mounting this scope on a Ruger AR 556 with a fixed front sight. What height rings should I use? — 2 Answers

Extra high height or ideally an AR platform designed one piece mount would put you at the proper height between 1.4" - 1.6". You will notice the front sight in the lower portion of the optic but it will become less noticeable as you move up in magnification.

Ken, In order to see thru your scope comfortably, you'll need to use XL or XXL height rings or something similar to Burris P.E.P.R. mount(or Weaver SPR mount). You can use regular height rings, but you'll need to use a riser block in conjuction with them. One other thing you'll notice is that at lower magnifications, you will see the back side of your front sight. Just disregard this.
