Will this fit the basic Vortex Viper? It shows tall capped on specifications for the basic Viper.

This turret kit will not fit the Stikefire-II red-dot, rather, it is designed for the Vortex Viper-HS riflescope.

The Vortex Viper HS Blank Turret Kit are a set of blank turrets that fit Viper riflescopes only.

How do you attach this cover to the turret? My viper HS 4-16 x 50 scope does not have screw in the top. Thanks

You will need to reach out to Vortex directly to verify the safest way to remove and replace the turret. Here is a diagram of the parts on the 4-16x50:
