I see that the primary use is for range and target shooting. Could it also be used as a defensive round or for hunting?

The Winchester USA RIFLE .300 AAC Blackout 125 grain Full Metal Jacket Centerfire Rifle Ammunition could be used to hunt or self defense but is not recommended. The description here states this is a 125 grain FMJ bullet.. but the box plainly states Open Tip. My question is this, which is correct?

This Winchester USA RIFLE .300 AAC Blackout ammo has a copper jacket and lead core. The tip of the bullet exposes the lead core and is not covered by the copper jacket.

No, this is .300 AAC Blackout ammo and will not work in a 6.5PRC Rifle.
