Most Helpful Positive Review Very nice light... Super bright...
This is a great weapons light. Very bright, on max on a clear night it throws about 200 yards. Its a wide beam though, at that distance it is about 100 yards wide. The G5 isn't as bright but has a much more concentrated beam FYI. Good battery life, useful modes,very well constructed. I love mine. Pair it with a Viking tactics mount and you're good to go. Pros: Not to heavy, Bright, easy to operate, Waterproof

One bright light

I have this mounted on a S&W MP15 rifle. Easily lights up our barn 150 yds from my house. The front ring is used to set the modes and can be a bit tricky. There are a few youtube videos out there covering the settings.
Pros: High output will light up a field
Cons: Modes can be a bit tricky

Great Flashlight!

I have the G5 as well. I recommend the x7 for use as an in hand flashlight or mounted on a shotgun. I would get the G5 for rifle mount. I used to be a loyal Surefire customer but not any more :( Also the Quark finger grip works great for these lights. I also bought Leapers heavy duty lanyard for the x7.
Pros: Extremely bright, Very well made, Easy to use, Most of all its affordable

Maelstrom X7

I am an outdoorsman. I hunt about anything that i can eat. Lately we have been frog hunting and this light makes the old spot lights obsolete. good run time and lite to carry. just a few extra batterys and i can stay out all night...good spot and flood combo. great depth perception with the yellow hue of light compared to some of my bright white lights.. I love this light its very useful.
Pros: excellent light great price
