Most Helpful Positive Review This is a very good product.
I have used theses snap caps and they work great as do all of the others I have. I started using them a few years ago when I damaged one of my guns by not using them. I had to take my gun in to a gun smith to get it fixed. That cost way more than the snap caps.

Overpriced

by Big Jim, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on June 14, 2025
I decided to “buy once, cry once” and get these because of reviews I read where people were having problems with the plastic ones breaking. To their credit, I’ve done a lot of dry firing in the month I’ve owned them and they’ve held up. Tolerances seem to be good and they don’t seem to be dragging on the frame. The “primers” show slight dimples. I’ve left them in the cylinder, so i don’t know how well the finish holds up from a lot of loading and unloading. Took a star off because the price is ridiculously high, even on sale.

Revolver Snap Caps

Don't care for the color for use in Blued Revolvers. Otherwise! They are well built and serve their dry fire purpose.

Good product

Use to make certain that your revolver is 'in-time' before heading to the range! You can also use to safely practice reloading drills. Product came as advertised and on-time and was well received. Would purchase again.

Azoom is the best

by glug, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on June 6, 2016
Azoom makes the best snap caps I've used hands down. They are durable and dimensionally correct. I just wish they were cheaper so I could stock up in more.

One thing to keep in mind with revolver snap caps is that these run a bit short-- they are equivalent to a very small bullet, roughly 125 grain. So they don't line up that well in a loading tray with my 158 lswc reloads when setting up ball and dummy drills.

Nice Snap Caps

by Gregory, from CA, United States Written on April 11, 2015
Well made, solid feeling. Solid red color distinguishes well from live rounds. Perferct to practice malfunction drills and reloading quickly for a revolver. Weight of the round is comperable to a regular live round.

A-Zoom Revolver Snap Caps, .38 Special

by MBro, from TX, United States Written on October 19, 2014
Whenever I'm working with our officers who carry a S&W J Frame or other short-barrel revolver as their back up gun or off duty weapon, we always incorporate "rapid reloading" instruction and drills into the training. Speed strips and/or speed loaders, combined with quality snap caps, facilitate the development of muscle memory without the risk of a negligent discharge. Over the 30+ years I've spent as a military and law enforcement firearms instructor, I've identified A-Zoom snap caps as the best made and longest lasting brand available.

44 Magnum Snap Caps

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on June 3, 2012
I bought these snap caps so I could practice my trigger pull on my SW 626 without damaging the trigger, and to practice my speed loading for competitions. They behave just like the real shells. I love them! Have also used them in Henry Big Boy 44. They're just great. I am sure to buy this brand for all of my other guns as well.
Pros: These are great. Solid.
Cons: No cons to this purchase
