Bulky but acceptable
I ordered this for my FN Police Model Shotgun which is just a rebranded Winchester 1300 Defender and aftermarket parts are very difficult to find.
Optics Planet's shipping and pricing where great and I got it installed with only a little difficulty.
I have some issues with the design and build of ...

broke first time using
Finally took my Remington 870 out and fired 6 rounds at the stock broke, not able to fix. Screws that hold the rubber cushion broke around the base of the screw. Really want a refund the original basic stock is way better then this so called upgrade.
excellent stick upgrade
Managed very easily to modify the included adapter (rem one) with a chop saw in order to modify it to fit my stoger m3000, if you go this route just be careful not to cut too far or it'll be too short, and you'll have to order a replacement one from the internet... don't ask how i know that... padding on stock and back of pistol grip makes for an extremely comfortable ride.

Sturdy & well made but unfortunate design flaw
'Just received and easily assembled this ATI Side-folding Stock -- on my Mossberg 500. Out-of-the-box, it appears to be well made and quite sturdy.
However, a glaring issue, for me is a poorly designed pistol-grip assembly. I cannot get a good, firm, natural grip because of the presence of the molded bottom part of the swivel assembly; this interferes with where the crook of your thumb (a.k.a.: web of the thumb/index finger) would normally seat when you would grasp any other pistol-grip, or fixed stock w/ pistol grip. 'Feels like my hand & wrist are at an uncomfortable & unnatural angle.
Btw: ATI Outdoors has 15 pages of reviews (avg. 4.8!) on this stock, with only a couple of mentions of this issue -- and these were buried, and from 2017 -- so on face value, they don't seem interested.

Difficult to reach trigger and horrible color
You can barely get your finger on the trigger because of the bulkiness of the mechanics. Purchase to put on a Mossberg and there’s a huge color difference.
Pros:
- Easy to install
Cons:
- color
- Bulky grip
Best Used for:
- Show. Not functional.

Useless product for Remington 870
This product is not functional on Remington 870. Grip is incredibly bulky and when attached to receiver reaching the trigger is extremely difficult, safety can't be reached, and slide release is difficult to engage. Also, buffer tube is cheap plastic and stock is difficult to adjust. This item looks cool and that's that. Also, I ordered this on February 17th and finally received it yesterday, March 7th.
Pros:
- None
Cons:
- All but looks
Best Used for:
- Decoration
Would recommend: No
