I have 2 other rifles built with M5 uppers and lowers. Excellent quality in my opinion the best quality bang for the buck is Aero. The price on Optics planet is unbeatable. For your 308 or 6.5 builds any equal or better quality is going to be at least $75 more. LR/DPMS lowers only. Will not fit on SR/25 pattern.
Great Upper for LR308
Well made, quality upper for a steal. I made the mistake of going too cheap in the past and spent a while chasing problems in a Bear Creek AR10 upper. Aero is pricey comparatively but still budget friendly and much nicer. It fit tightly to a ODG lower (also Aero) and looks great. This is my second Aero upper.

Aero great quality and can’t go wrong with Aero or Ballistic Advantage. Optic Planet has always been good to deal with and great customer service over the years.

Review of Aero M5 Stripped upper
Replaced a previously used upper with this one, to fit the Aero FDE lower. Now a better fit and finish. Haven't shot with it yet, but looking to it.

Excellent Upper
I built a mostly Aero Precision AR-10 / LR-10 / M5 and I paired this with the Aero Precision lower receiver. On other AR-10 / LR-10 builds that I've done, sometimes there is gapping or things don't look as sharply put together as say a mil-spec AR-15, however, these look perfect; no gapping, no feeding issues, no problems of any kind. It's high quality, a little lighter built than some of the others I've seen and is a quality product.

Awesome upper
I used a plain DPMS LR-308 style upper receiver for my first AR-10 (308) build and I don’t like it. It’s bulky and the forward assist sits in a really weird spot where it doesn’t engage the serrations and only pushes the bolt closed once it’s almost in battery. I’m starting a 6.5 creedmoor fixed stock build and I was not going to get another DPMS upper. This aero upper puts the forward assist in the right spot to hit the serrations on the bolt carrier. It also uses a screw instead of a roll pin which is really nice. It’s much less bulky with much better lines and looks great on my non aero lower. I think I’m going to have to rebuild my 308 upper with one of these and a better handguard, and maybe get a third for an 8.6blk upper.

Great product at a great price with my discounts
Fits perfect on my poly 80 lower no problem. But look out there are like 3 different variants of ar10 platform receivers. You don't want to have a high profile upper with a low profile free floating handguard as this will make it look ugly.

Best In it’s Class
I am constantly pleased with everything that I purchase from AERO. They do a great job at making a product at a fair price point for the hobby builder. This upper is no different I have used it in 3 builds and each one turned out perfect. Depending on your skill level and what your trying to achieve this is by far the best stripped upper at this price. I highly recommend this for your first build or 50th if you have built that many.

And at a great price! I am building a ar10 in 6.5 creedmoor and this is getting me a step closer this will be my one and only review as it has to many inputs required. Stilll getting errors so I blah blah blah to get the error to clear
