KJK's Review of Aero Precision AR15 No Forward Assist Stripped Upper Receiver
I'm a big fan of Aero products and hadn't yet tried out one of the upper receivers without the forward assist. I continue to be impressed. Removing the forward assist saves you money on parts, gives you a sleeker profile with one less thing to get in the way, and IMO makes sense from a safety standpoint. Aero Precision continues to redefine the standard, which in this case means going back to the original intended design.
Pros:
- less expensive
- less cumbersome
Cons:
- unwanted naysayer opinions
Best Used for:
- replacing upper receivers with forward assists
