Most Helpful Negative Review Crooked Handguard
At the muzzle the handguard leaning is more than a quarter inch closer to the barrel on the left side than the right. The handguard has been forced on and has so far been impossible to remove. Still goes pew so it gets two stars. Would NOT buy again.

Worth the Price Point

This upper is exactly what you pay for... a quality, rugged upper that is reliable. It does not come with the highest grade barrel or internals but they are still solid.

Great overall, but handguard is 12.7” NOT 12”

Great quality upper, big caveat is the handguard length. You won’t be able to change the muzzle device or use a suppressor with this one on. Ideally you want the handguard to be around 0.5” to 0.8” SHORTER than the barrel for that. I ended up swapping it with a true 12” from ballistic advantage. Sucks having to replace a brand new piece due to misleading info.

If you pl on suppressing this look elsewhere.

I havnt even shot this yet but there is no way you can fit any suppressor on this upper without changing the handguard.
Ballistic Advantage makes a 12" handguard using the atlas barrel nut but I dont know if their 12" handguard is short enough to fit for a yhm turbo mount.

This 12.5" inch handguard it comes with would be good for a 13.7 build so maybe if I find a 13.7 with atlas barrel nut I can not have spare party lying around all the time.

Weird Residue

Great looking upper, however it had these white marks/residue that won’t come off and it had two little spots of rust where it looks like the finish had worn off. A little unhappy about that but it looks good overall if those marks weren’t there.

Solid 556 upper

Nice upper, very light, reliable, and priced well. Haven't had any issues with it. Put a few hundred rounds through it. Easily hit 100 yard targets with tight groupings. Using with Aero lower build and have tried multiple BCG's.

Do Not Hesitate

Aero precision makes quality parts and this upper is no exception. I bought this upper from opticsplanet while on sale for a deep discount compared to aero precision own website. While aero website had none in stock at all, opticsplanet did have them in stock and on sale no less so I jumped on it, shipping was fast to arrive at usps but then apparently traveled in circles for a week before arriving to my door. But I couldn't be happier with this complete upper receiver. Just add your favorite charging handle and bolt carrier group and your gtg. After taking this to the range I can attest that the groupings I have been getting, very accurate and consistent. Do not hesitate to buy this upper from opticsplanet.
