Excellent M4 stock
Contrary to the first review for this item, it DOES fit correctly on a proper mil-spec buffer tube. I tried four of them on four Colt buffer tubes and the fit was ideal on all of them.
This is a great stock. I would recommend it for a practical carbine. The rear of the stock is well-textured. I...

Loosey goosey!
Gotta say I'm pretty under-whelmed with this product. The fitment of this to an AIM Sports mil-spec buffer-tube was shockingly bad. According to Mil-Specs listed on wingtactical dot com, the AIM sports tube is within spec at 1.15in dia. The inner dia of this stock is 1.178in! It would've actually fi...

Appears to be USGI Contract Item
I received one marked with Cage Code 8FW25 for a USGI FN Clone. Very well made piece with little wobble. Sling loop is a parkerized dark grey. Well worth the price.

True military M4A1 stock
The one I received is marked with the cage code of 8FW25 which is the cage code for Prudent American Technologies; the same manufacturer for Colt M4A1 stocks. There is no Colt cage next to it but it is the same supplier.
Pros:
- Real M4 stock
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Clones, basic AR15s

Perfect for a simple build
I wanted to put together an early 2004s looking M4 and you can’t get any better than a simple carbine stock.

True USGI M4 Stock
While sold under the Aero Precision name, this stock is CAGE (Commercial and Government Entity) Coded to the manufacturer Prudent American Technologies. They produce OE gear for all of the big name brands, including the US Government.
The stock is well made and fits a mil-spec buffer tube very well. While I got a great deal here on OP, you can search "8FW25 Stock" to see competitive pricing.

Real Deal USGI buttstock
I did quite a bit of research on these before purchasing, and yes some of the reviews on here are not correct. These are USGI stocks made by a government contractor, and have the cage code where it is supposed to be. These are not foreign made or commercial facsimiles. There may be some variance in fit depending on which company made your buffer tube. The Magpul or these are probably your best option for a stock for your AR type rifle in my opinion. Definitely combat proven.
Pros:
- Military grade
Cons:
- None

Nice M4 stock
OpticsPlanet sent me the exact one in the photo (some people claim they got the version you would see on an M&P Sport 2, some slight differences). Fits snug enough for an M4 stock, no problems. Plastic feels durable/ solid. No complaints, would buy again.
Pros:
- As pictured
Cons:
- None
Would recommend: Yes

Gregrehmer
Fits a little loose but ok. I was looking for a M4 like stock and seems it is close enough. I would have liked to fit a bit tighter to the buffer tube. Priced right for my purpose. I’m sure it will last well.

Basic but good
Purchased for my standard issue M4A1 clone AR-15, I was looking for a standard M4 stock and this is it. Aero Precision is a quality manufacturer so I know I don't have to worry about the stock. My only complaint is the same complaint I have with the Magpul MOE stocks, there's too much slop when mounted on an Aero Precision standard milspec buffer tube but I think that's just normal for the design.
Pros:
- Milspec
Cons:
- sloppy / loose
Best Used for:
- ARs
Would recommend: Yes

Looks mostly like the picture
I am pretty disappointed, it looks like a cheaper version of the picture, I expected better from Aero. It comes in a clear plastic bag with no Aero sticker, makes me wonder if it's actually made by Aero. There is some rattle while on an Aero buffer tube. The plastic shows a lot of molding marks, it's not smooth in certain areas. I feel like I could have found better for half the price at a gun show. My factory S&W stock has this one beat by a mile and that's an understatement.
Pros:
- It will work.
Cons:
- Overpriced, looks cheap, rattles
