This has to be the quietest 22lr ammo in production. Great pest control without disturbing the neighbors.

terrible past 20yrds

by Jow, Verified Owner from AL, United States Written on August 18, 2025
Tried this in a rio bravo rossi 16”barrel suppressed and non suppressed. Was trying use this for 30 yards and lil more further and later last attempt 20 yd and group is terrible can rely to ever hit small target . My attempt of use was for roof rats. Always used cci quiet and worked perfect. But was looking for something that would not over-penetrate a rat lol. Was cheaper these these than pellets for air rifle but after this might consider now. Last try I used henry lever 22” was afraid to try it on but no squibs. At least never failed to fire.

Great special purpose QUIET ammo for bolt action rifles & revolvers.

by Schachmeister, Verified Owner from AL, United States Written on July 7, 2025
I shot half the box when it arrived & was amazed at how quiet it was when fired from a .22 bolt action single shot rifle. The loudest sound I heard was the bullet hitting the tin can. Now when fired from a revolver, it was significantly louder, but still fine to shoot without any hearing protection. I'm sure neighbors could tell I was shooting however. At 10 yards, the accuracy was on par with any of my other .22 ammo.
Now, out of the 25 rounds I fired, the 1st round in one of my rifles seemed to leave the barrel even slower than the rest and fell short of the target. I'm not sure if it was a bad round, or if I had left too much oil in the barrwl the last time I cleaned that rifle.
Do NOT try to use this ammo in any kind of semi-auto or anything where the energy from the round works the slide to load the next round. These simply don't have enough energy.
My break berral air rifle sends a .22 pellet at 800+ fps, which is almost twice as fast as this ammo. As I said, this is special purpose ammo, perfect for quiet plinking or training a new shooter who is adverse to loud noises.
I do look forward to checking out the Super Colibri when it is in stock again.

  • Super fun
Cons:
  • None in my book

Great up close practice ammo for bolt action rifle

by RProulx, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on June 20, 2025
Tried these out with my grandkids using a bolt action rifle at 50 feet. Accuracy was good and my pellet rifle seemed to be louder. Headsets with young shooters can be ill fitting or clumsy for them. This just makes it a little safer. Not for hunting anything.
Pros:
  • quiet & accurate
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • plinking

For when I walk my dogs

by None, Verified Owner from WA, United States Written on June 13, 2025
For when I walk my dogs early in the morning before work coyotes are out, and they've came after my dogs before in the city limits. And this is quite enough to use without drawing too much attention, and the coyotes have not bothered me again.

Quiet & Fun

by Tagg, Verified Owner from IN, United States Written on May 14, 2025
Good for plinking, backyard pest control, beginners, and kids. Surprisingly accurate within 25-30 yards, if you manually load them into the chamber. No misfires after a hundred rounds or so. They will feed out of most magazines, but the nose of the round is shorter than a standard 40gr .22 round. They tend to get stuck in my 10-22/wildcat mags or damaged on the feed ramp, so I manually load them to help with accuracy.

Quiet, perfect plinking ammo

by Steve, Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on April 18, 2025
Love this ammo, it's perfect for indoor paper target shooting, the trigger action is actually noisier than the projectile leaving the barrel. Personally, i wish it were available from the other ammo manufacturers, as this ammo always seems to be limited from Aguila. This stuff should be super cheap, but imagine it's only gonna increase in price due to where it's manufactured.
Pros:
  • Super quiet, perfect for paper target shooting.
Cons:
  • Not always available.
Best Used for:
  • Paper target, or giving pesky rodents a headache.
