Most Helpful Positive Review A Great Value In a Small Package
I have this mounted on a AR 300 Blackout. I wanted something that was small but would take the recoil. This sight does it all. It's easy to use and the different reticles are great. Set up for the windage adjustment can be a little tricky but once zeroed seems to stay put. A great value for the $$$ ...

Most Helpful Negative Review 3 Shot fell apart
Mounted to an AK pistol and looked great but I was skeptical because adjustments are almost non functioning. But I got it bore sighted in and seemed to hold zero from just hand moving it. Then whet to test and on 3rd round glass in sight went flyng about 10 ft away not what you want from a red dot. ...

D.O.A. (Dead On Arrival)

by Steve Frey, Verified Owner from MI, United States Written on July 28, 2024
I chose this sight because it was compact, and offered a variety of recticals and colors, which is important to folks with eye issues. I was extremely frustrating to open the box and not be able to turn the thing on. I played around with all the brightness, color and rectical settings, thinking that I wasn't turning on the right button or switch. Then I got out my multimeter, and found that the included CR2032 battery was COMPLETELY dead. It measured 0.0 volts! I swapped batteries with a different sight, and it did turn on. But c'mon, I would have rather received it with no battery, then a dead one, and spend an hour thinking I was too dumb to figure out how to turn the thing on (By the way, no instructions were included.)

The box says it has a 2,000 hour battery life on the low setting. Considering that this thing was in the off postion when it arrived, this must have been extremely old stock, or an extremely crappy battery.

I am not recommending this product for that reason.
Pros:
  • compact
  • Style
Cons:
  • Bad battery

Did the job I bought it for... I guess.

by Josh M, Verified Owner from AL, United States Written on October 28, 2021
I wasn't sure if red or green illuminated reticles where best for me, so before I spent $450+ on a LPVO, I got this item to figure out which I liked better. I figured I would buy this, test it for a few weeks in various conditions and then save for a budget AR-15 build later. The brightness is actually pretty decent, but the build quality on my particular item was abysmal. I had it for about a week with a grand total of 0 rounds through my rifle and the housing between the brightness knob on the side and the optic itself shattered into 4 (and counting) pieces. I've even kept my rifle in a padded rifle bag the majority of the time, and was certainly never rough on any part of it. I seriously would have been disappointed had I even bought this for airsoft. I knew it was cheap, but this is for an actual firearm we are talking about. That said, I bought it to figure out which color was best for me, and it did it's job, so I feel that it is only fair to give it more than 1 star.
Pros:
  • Brightness
Cons:
  • Fuzzy reticle
  • Cheap
  • Build Quality

Not built too sturdy.

by static2378, from CA, United States Written on October 31, 2019
This reflex is very fragile. The first time I took it out on my .22 the front lens popped out with a plastic piece that originally held it in I suppose. Besides that, before the lens had fallen out, looking through the sight was always very fuzzy and appeared dirty, like it had a big smudge right on the middle of the lens. The lens was perfectly clean though so I never was able to figure out why that was an issue. You get what you pay for I suppose.

I wouldn’t waste my money on this product anyone who’s considering purchasing. I would pay the little extra for a better quality piece of equipment.

Junk, to light for a paper weight as well.

by Drew Davis, from MA, United States Written on May 21, 2019
Absolute garbage. All colors and dots are not clear or crisp. All Dot selections are starburst right out of the box.
You see double circles and figured 8 dots. Doesn't hold zero after 120 rounds.
Not worth the money.

I would save a little bit more money and go with Sig Romeo 5 or a Vortex.

Very easy to mount and to set up

by Working Joe, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on April 13, 2018
You can’t go wrong with this reflex sight optics planet has the lowest prices online..I mounted this sight on my 7.5” pistol length .300 blackout. I found it very easy to mount on my rail and to sight in with a few clicks on the adjustment screws I was zeroed in no time. Has several options on cross hairs and you have the option of changing the retical color to green or red.
Best Used for:
  • 50 yards

Nice red dot sight

by Vike, from CT, United States Written on March 30, 2017
This is my first red dot sight. Installed it on an SKS. Set it up using a laser sight in barrel. At the range hit 10" high and 9 " left, at 50 yards
Adjusted according to 1/2 inch per click at 50 yards and got 2 inch group on bull. At 100 yards group spread out to 3 1/4 inch. Not bad with these old eyes and an SKS. Major improvement over open sights. Only complaint is that the on / off, brightness switch is on the right hand side. I am right handed, so to hold rifle In right hand and reach over top to operate is a little awkward.

Retired Aviation Mechanic

by Mr. Noodles, Verified Owner from MS, United States Written on March 13, 2017
This little guy is unbelievable, a friend had one on an AR-9mm and we sighted it in at the pistol range. I laughed when he told me the price. ( I did't expect much for that price ). Well this sight shot so great I bought one for my 9mm build and use it at pistol and rifle range out to 100 yards. This is the most amazing sight I ever put on a gun.( took off my Fast Fire III and put this on ) I still can believe how great it holds Zero and the price. This is NOT JUNK, I bought 2 more for other builds. Shooting a Palmetto State Armory AR 9mm with a 16" barrel and this sight out to 100 yards. 124 gr. FMJ bullet / 4 gr. Bullseye powder. I don't know if a heavier caliper AR 5.56 will hold up as well, for the price it is worth a try, but on a AR 9mm this is the TICKET!!!!!

Poor mechanicals

by Bobo, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on February 22, 2017
I had very low expectations at this price point and that's what I got. Optical performance is fine, brightness is adequate and easy to adjust, reticle is sharp. Impossible to sight in. There are no clicks in mushy vertical/horizontal adjustments and bullet impact changes appear more or less random.
Pros:
  • brightness & clarity
Cons:
  • mechanical adjustment

Good 4 $, but 2 big 4 pistols

by Swagon, from CA, United States Written on January 13, 2016
The price is low and the build quality is pretty decent. The window is decent sized. Problem is I bought it for my pistol, and it looks huge on there. Also, I see a very small shift when I switch between the 4 retical options. And the lowest brightness settings are not dim enough. I would only recommend this for a rifle and if you plan to pick just one retical style and keep it there. Why would I recommend it for rifles? The low price, build quality, and fairly large window.
Pros:
  • Price
  • Build quality
  • Large Window
  • choice of retical style
Cons:
  • Too big for pistols
  • dim setting too bright
  • small shift between reticals
Best Used for:
  • Rifles and carbines.
