I had very low expectations at this price point and that's what I got. Optical performance is fine, brightness is adequate and easy to adjust, reticle is sharp. Impossible to sight in. There are no clicks in mushy vertical/horizontal adjustments and bullet impact changes appear more or less random.

I'm delighted with the fit, finish and performance of this optic. It's very easy and intuitive to use and the reticle is very bright even when looking into bright sunlight.
I'm so happy to have had the option to buy a quality product made in America by Americans.

This sight APPEARS to be well made, but I didn't keep it long enough to find out. Too many "bells and whistles". I had to keep referring back to the owners manual to change from manual to automatic. Never got around to trying to change reticle pattern. Couldn't even begin to imagine how I would remember all this, or try to change the battery in a SHTF situation (I'm "old school"-KISS). Could not change brightness in manual mode. Automatic mode too dim when shooting from low light (indoors) to bright background (through window).

These are very sturdy and precisely made. I like the width of the rings which spread the force over a larger area of tube than one or two screw models. Also like the torx head screws.
Only downside is price, as SWFA makes rings that are virtually identical and include 1" inserts for about half the price.

I thought these looked great when I first bought one, so I bought two more. Big mistake. All three ended up back for warranty service because the reticle adjustments came off the tracks without a mechanical stop to prevent exceeding allowable adjustment.
The glass turned out to be typical Chinese Coke bottle junk that never quite focused and was very tiring on the eyes.
How many times do I have to (re)learn the lesson that "you get what you pay for", especially in Chinese optics.
Save your money and buy a Vortex or Bushnell. "Buy once, cry once".

I have now had more time to evaluate this item in the field. The optics are typical Chinese Coke bottle glass that is blurry and very tiring to look through. The mount is too stiff and herky jerky, way too much friction.
The backpack is probably the best part of it. This would be good child's toy for $59.

Could not believe the quality for the price. Image is very sharp from edge to edge at 30x and under. Slightly fuzzy above 30x, but still acceptable. Very solidly built. Clicks are positive, distinct and audible. Can't speak to repeatability of adjustments because I hold over/off and don't plan to change anything once it's zeroed.
Rings are very good considering they're included in the price. Only substandard parts are the flip open covers, but again they're included basically for free. Rear cover was split, but customer service quickly sent me a new one no questions asked. Mil dots are perfectly small and don't obscure the field. I bought two more after seeing the first one.

This is my second Sightmark product and I'm very impressed. Glass is very clear all the way to the edge of the field and the reticle (CDX)is the perfect size and very sharp. Adjustments are positive and clicks are very distinct. This a very solidly built scope and I would have given it 5 stars except the turrets are too tall for a CQB tactical scope. I will be buying another.

Bought this for my M4 and the POI would change after every shot. Took forever to get it even close to sighted in. Edges of field are very blurry. Maybe useable on a .22LR for shots inside 50 yard if you can buy it for less than $50.
Not all Chinese optics are this bad, but AIM is the worst of the worst. I bought another one of their products several years ago and thought I'd give them a second chance to see if their quality has improved. It hasn't.

This my second AIM product and the quality (or lack there of) is the same as the first. This is real garbage. The entire field is blurry at all ranges, not just the edges. The reticle is so thick it blocks most of the field. Adjustments take awhile to settle after moving. It works, barely, for close shots (100yds or less)on small game with my 10/22, as long as you don't touch the adjustments after initial sight in. Would be absolutely useless for any serious target work or long shots. The included rings must be meant for either a 56mm objective or a Giraffe.
Not all Chinese optics are this bad, but AIM stuff is absolutely the worst. I only paid $44 for it and it's really not even worth that.
