Does not fit securely and just falls off in locked position.

Happy with the material quality, design and ruggedness. But cam lever would not tighten securely to my Izmash Saiga 12 without modification. Was able to eliminate looseness by a series of controlled grinds of material from upper lip of the lower jaw. This could be due to the notorious out of spec “vodka runs” Saiga has a reputation for. Ended up being close to 500 mils taken off. Recommend only if you are willing to spend a few hours tooling with it.

Ordered this during the holidays and received it quickly. I bought my converted-AK Romanian WASR-10 long ago and my eyes told me I finally needed a scope if I wanted to hit a target farther than 10 yards away. I looked at after-market mounts and accessories, wasted money buying some 'junk' mounts and threw them away. My WASR came with the original AK wedge-style scope mount plate on the side of the receiver, so I decided to try this mount because I didn't have to modify anything on my WASR to get it to work. It took a few minutes to adjust the tension on the mount latch, and now it sits rock-solid and centered over the receiver. I have a short red-dot sight and it sits forward on the mount far enough so I can aim with both eyes open. I used a bore laser light to adjust the red-dot sight until it matched the bore laser. Haven't been to the range yet, and I expect to do a little tweaking on the red-dot sight to match the impact point at 15, 50 and 100 yards. My goal is to hit a 12" gong at 100 yards and this mount will help me do it.

The unit mounts well to AK side rail, but it seems to have a lot of flex in the actual optic mounting point, very dubious of it maintaining any kind of zero.

I bought this mount as a stand in before I could buy an AK master mount. I am very pleasantly surprised. He mount is itself one entire piece of hard aluminum. The latch seems a bit cheesey but it locks to the side mount like a woodtick on a bear hide. I may not replace this mount until it breaks.

The only reason I’m not giving it five stars because I have a shot with it installed yet ! But it’s on there tight and straight!

The finish matches my Riley RAK-47-C-SF
had to lube the cam first with Wilson oil.
tightened, not sure I went too tight then backed off suddenly I had the right fit and the latch locks in to the front.
good looking base for the price.

I purchased this for use on my Century BFT47. This product is so very well made. The QD lock is very positive and easily adjusted. The mount base is low on the top cover. The finish is very nice. Unless you are ,using a red dot type sight, mounting a scope and getting the correct eye relief can be a challenge.

I bought this mount for my WASR-10/63. It works as it should, doesn't come loose when fired, and holds zero when removed. There are better mounts for higher prices but this works fine for it's price and I would recommend after having owned and used one myself.
