Nicer than expected
First off, lets get the big one out of the way, and why I knocked off one star. You WILL loose your bipod. It absolutely does not fit with this handrail. But to me, ounces is pounds and pounds equal pain. So taking it off was no big deal.
Onto the rail. Its stout. Its nicely made. I'm not su...

L1a1 foregrip
I had to modify it to fit. The half circle on the rar was too long and had to take the corners off the inside rear where the top bolts down to slide past the barrel taper. After that great finish and feel to the part. Do not reccomend if you dont have a bench sander and a dremel
Great hand guard setup
Fit my DSA Kommando perfectly. There are no obstructions in the box but I figured out that you need to slide the hand guard on from behind the gas block, not from the front. It locks up tight and there is no wiggle. Nice that you get a picatinny or MLOK top cover to decide which you want to use.
I also went with FAB Defense short vertical grip underneath and it a great setup.

Pros:
- Cost effective
- Perfecrt fit and function
Cons:
- not exactly black, bit more of a dark grey

Great fit and finish
Looks great and fits tight with no slop or movement. Good value for the money. Gets a little hot with some rounds so you might want to wear gloves. I don’t know what else to say. My review supposedly isn’t long enough.
Pros:
- Looks good
- Fits tight
Cons:
- Gets hot
Best Used for:
- Desecrating your FAL

Canted like crazy
So I've bought two of these so far. Both are currently on rifles and both have a slight cant on them when lined up against the DSA railed top covers. One is very slight and the other is incredibly apparent. The handguard itself is solid, no wobble at all. However, if you plan on mounting anything other than a foregrip or a bipod on this, plan on some major adjustments to true it up because this rail doesn't inherently line up true.
Pros:
- Solid mount
Cons:
- out of alignment
Best Used for:
- paper weight
- Door stop
- Air gun

Solid yet, lightweight
These handgaurds Work great on metric FAL, can be fitted with minor adjustments to L1A1, smooth, clean, solid for expanding options on these platforms, Unbeatable for the money....!!! So if you want to run a scout micro dot or add foregrips, bipods, a tac light, or even qd sling attachements this is definitely the way to go, and would add even more functionallity to a para

Easy Install for AIM Handguard (long) on Imbel metric FAL
Long AIM M-LOK Handguard on metric Imbel FN FAL. Bipod cut imbel barrel. Easy install, 3 minutes tops, maybe a little tight, but on the other hand that made it rock solid once I got it in place. My old plastic hand guard was wobbly no matter what. This has more grip, feels solid and of course add the extra rail and mlok abilities. One downside is that if youre using the DSA pic rail above the upper receiver the rails don't quite match up in height. The DSA rail is about 3mm taller. After market to after market I didnt expect them to be perfect and I doubt anyone but myself will ever notice.

No bueno - not worth it
Because of the design , there’s slight movement in the front end when mounted . This is on a DS Arms STG58 . To me , it’s an AirSoft piece . Spacing at the rear of the piece will fit the bipod when folded down , but it doesn’t alleviate the movement . If a scope is mounted spanning the receiver mounted picatinny and forend mounted picatinny , there’s unacceptable movement of the optic .

Nice Upgrade for FAL variants
Installed this handguard on my imbel parts kit FAL built back in 2001. Pretty well machined and very good aesthetics. A few minor machine marks in some pretty unnoticeable areas, but overall a very nice finish. Had to do some minor dremel work on the handguard assembly cap to get the cross-bolt to thread through on the front of the handguard. My assembly cap looked slightly bent and out of alignment prior to installation, so it could very well have been due to that OEM part and not the actual specs on the rail. It fits extremely securely with absolutely no movement in either the lower of upper half of the handguard. Mlok is all in spec and zero issues with attaching accessories. I also prefer the top piece with no pic rail, as it feel excellent in hand. It looks outstanding after being installed and I am very pleased and would recommend highly recommend, especially at this price point.
Is the DSA handguard nicer? Yes. Is it $200 nicer...absolutely not!
