good scope for the money
You get what you pay for. The scope is on the cheaper side, but on a small caliber rife it holds zero, and is plenty bright. Works fine on an AR.
Pros: love the locking turrets
Cons: mount could be better

Haven't got a good one yet.
First unit came with the reticle upside down. Returned it and received the replacement today. This one has a bad lens. It's boxed up for return. It looks like a nice optic but very disappointing quality. Kudos to Optics Planet for free returns.
Aim sports scope
I am putting this scope on a Henry Homesteader 9mm carbine. I especially like the profile and the fact that the mounting rings are picatinny. This will make it easy to mount a light if I choose. I mainly use it for varmits.

very poor quality
I so much wanted to like this scope and I was pleasantly surprised when to find that it didn't just have dual illumination but tri-illumination: red, green AND blue. It comes with a mount and diopter adjustment and the reticle is actually very crisp and clear. Obviously for $80 it isn't going to be the best glass so yeah there is a good amount of fish eye. I was just putting this on my S&W 15-22 anyway.
Unfortunately my field of view was filled with black specks. They were internal because I cleaned lenses to no avail. The front mounting screw was also sheared in half, lengthwise such that it would not fasten securely to a picatinny rail. And so it's going back. :(

Pros:
- MOUNT INCLUDED
- Diopter adjustment
- Illuminated BDC Reticle
Cons:
- Bad quality control
- mount was broken on arrival
Best Used for:
- airsoft and .22lr

Poor quality, failed early
The glass was ok and the mount decent. Unfortunately my illumination turret is VERY STIFF to turn, almost needing a tool. This made turning on/off the optic a pain - literally. Third time out the illumination failed completely and now its near useless.
Pros:
- Glass is good for price
Cons:
- poor quality
- Failed early
Best Used for:
- plinking

Entry level scope for your AR-15
Great scope for the money. It performs very well at 300 yards on my .556. I would recommend. The previous scope that I had was a good hundred dollars more and did not perform any better or any worse than this optic.

Clear glass and holds zero!
I’ve been looking for an inexpensive alternative to an ACOG, for training. I wouldn’t take this optic to war. But, with 4x magnification and arrow/chevron reticle, the AIM recon scope has a very similar sight picture to the ACOG. I was not expecting the quality and clarity of the glass at the price that I paid. And of course, most importantly, it holds a zero! Using 62 grain 5.56 ammo, I zeroed on a M16a2 zero target, at 25 yards. After it was zeroed, I took out to 200 and 300 yards. It consistently rings 8 inch steel at 300 yards. So far, I have put over 500 rds on target, with no issues.
Pros:
- Easy adjustment
- clear optics
- Holds zero
Cons:
- Heavy
Best Used for:
- plinking
- Marksmanship training

Good scope
I bought the scope for Airsoft games
I am very pleased . 4 - 5 Inch eye relief provides fast target acquisition, very clear and bright, keep settings.
Fog proof helped me in on a morning wet and shock-resistant housing helps me when careless hitting rifle on walls
I recommend.

Just bought it...
Purchased this scope Mar 18, 2016; just mounted it to AR-style rifle. Mine is half-circle reticule. Has a BDC that is very small; ostensibly shows drop for 400, 500 and 600 yards. Mine came with two rail-top (and sides) upper rings, and one smooth-sided upper ring. I would have liked to have had a second smooth-sided upper ring; all that "tacticool" garbage just turns me off. Focuses easily. Zooms easily. Clicks on turrets are not entirely sharp and solid, but I assume will do the job. Scope is 30mm in diameter and will come out of the mount, allowing the mount to be used with a different scope if that should obtain in the future. Comes with flip-open covers for each end, but the rear on mine is very loose because I have the eyepiece screwed pretty far back to get the scope in focus. I advise getting a neoprene ScopeShield and dispensing with the covers. A-frame sight base shows until 3X; gone after that. Marked 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5 and 4; no line against which to set, but not a problem. I expect this optic will work just fine. Bought mine at retail for $130, plus about 8% tax.

Good scope for the price!
Good scope for the price. Fit an AR platform nicely. Reticle illumination is rather weak though, even with a new battery. OpticsPlanet is one of the best companies I have ever done business with! The locking turrets on this scope work well, and it is easy to and holds zero nicely. It might be a little too heavy for some peoples taste, but you cant beat it for the price...In my opinion anyway
Pros:
- Clear, bright optics
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- target/range accuracy
