I'm making a gordon carbine and this is the closest I could get to the 3000/5000. It's the perfect option for a 723 build imo.

I removed the red dot that came with the S&W Precision Hunter pistol and this fits and operates great. Aimpoint is more expensive, but many law enforcement officers swear by them for accuracy and dependability. I will try to post a picture if allowed.
Pros:
- Durability
- accuracy
- clearity
- ergonmic
Cons:
- price (but it's worth it if you need reliability and quality)
Best Used for:
- hunting
- Personal & home defense

The aimpoint 9000sc is versatile for me. I use it in NRA precision pistol and I’ve used them on shotguns. Could also be used on an AR platform. The glass is clear and high quality, the dot is crisp and round. Some adjustments aren’t useful because they are for nighttime/ lowlight, but other than that an all around perfect optic

I mounted this sight on a 1911 bullseye gun with the sight mounted on the slide. After only about 100 rounds of soft target velocity 45 rounds the scope rings didn't just came loose, losing the zero, the mounting screws also "ate" into the slots on the rail. I'm using the Clark 1911 rails which has a picatinny width slot and maybe that's the culprit I assume. Anyway, if you plan on mounting this thing on a bullseye gun I suggest you ditch the OEM rings and get yourself a better made and suited ones that will properly go onto a bullseye gun. Other thn that the scope itself is great!
Cons:
- Rings that came with the scope, NO GOOD !
Best Used for:
- pretty much anything but for bullseye gun get youself rings that are made for the job. The OEM rings don't do it.

This is my first Aimpoint as I've been waiting for the proper gun & use for it. I installed this on a Henry lever action 45/70 that I'd like to use for a shorter-range deer & hog gun [up to about 150 yards or so].
I've only been to the range twice and find it easy to use & should be nice as a offhand sight for quick-action shooting I anticipate. The looooooong battery-life is a huge plus!
Best Used for:
- shorter range hunting [<200 yards]

After owning several other brands of red dots through the years I have purchased this and find it to be Leaps and Bounds ahead of all the rest definitely worth saving the money and buying the best..as a competitive shooter it pays to have the best equipment when I truly believe that the endpoints are the best of the red dots
Pros:
- Very easy to mount and use and very clear
Best Used for:
- Any place you need a quality red dot sight ... whether it be hunting or competition our military and law enforcement use

So far so good, I really like the quality of this red dot.I bought this for my kids for the long eye relief and small size. I'm looking foward to hunting season with my son and daughter. I plan on getting one as well. It has good clear glass and a 2 moa dot which my kids and I can all see clearly.I like the simplicity and the long battery life of this sight as well.

Very well made product, Aimpoint makes some of the best red dots in the world, well worth the money, awesome price OpticsPlanet. I have bought many red dots in the past and will buy only Aimpoint from now on. The 2MOA dot is perfect.

Scope was quick and easy to set up. It was right on at 100 yds on the first shot hitting a 12in steel plate.
