Most Helpful Negative Review 1/4 inch too large
This T&E has 1/4 inch too much space at the point where it connects to the frame of the gun, disabling it from locking in. I would NOT recommend this. None of the threading will match a USGI issue T&E mechanism so you can't even use some of the parts.

Spot-on replica of an existing WW2 T&E. Very pleased with construction and will compliment and complete my WW2 and Korean war era displays. Highly recommend.

Knock-off T&E for the 1919A4

I purchased one of these T&E‘s from optics planet off an auction site. The originals have dried up over the years and bring a lot higher price. The quality and workmanship does not compare with an original US G.I. Traversing elevation mechanism, However these look good and will work they are quarter inch too wide on the traverse, you will have to put an 8 inch washer in each side in order to have precision I would recommend these as the originals are very hard to come by and bring a lot more money.

Cons:
  • The traverse is a quarter inch too wide they are not as tight as the originals and they are not Parker iced
Best Used for:
  • 1919 A4 Semi auto and full auto guns

Do not buy this product. Made in China. There are plenty of these T&E units available for a slightly higher price from USA made sources. I wish this was advertised before I bought this item. I would never have purchased it.

AIM Sports M2 M1919 Traverse/Elevation Mechanism

The Traverse/Elevation Mechanism from Aim sports arrived all sealed up in a bag and box. It fit rite on my 1919A4 and was easy to use and maneuver. I believe this is an excellent product and would recommend it to future customers.

Reproduction Traverse and elevation Mechanism operation

I found this solid reproduction top notch for the price. Comparing it to my original ones there is little difference. I replaced the clasp ring on the pin chain with a split style ring. It fits my guns just like the originals. If you want an original be prepared to pay twice as much at least.
Pros:
  • black wash finish but being all steel can be Parkerized easliy if need be. Fits gun very well.
Cons:
  • They use a clasp style ring at the chain connect to the pin. This opened by itself during shipping
