I ordered a scope mount for a Remington 870 20 gauge shotgun as advertised. I received a mount for a 12 gauge shotgun with shims to adapt to a 20 gauge. There are 20 gauge mounts out there that makes for a sleeker look. Aimtech should advertise ASM220 as a 12/20 gauge mount to avoid the confusion.

Mounted on my Remington 870 20ga. No problem.looks good a strong mount .I used it for Spring Gobbler.I had shoulder surgery,didn't want to use my 12ga.I might never use my 12ga. Remington 1187 ever again.

This item is nice as it gives you that Red dot capability. However it doesn't tell you it's for a 12 gauge and you get two shims that work but make the process and little more complicated. It works so I'm giving it a 4 stars with 1 missing for the description. It is sturdy and I feel if I dropped it things wouldn't get bent out of shape.

Aimtech Scope Mount for Remington 870 Shotguns

Use these saddle mounts on my 12 and 20 gauge Remington 870 shotguns to mount scopes for turkey hunting. The good thing about these saddle mounts is that if you are using red dot or illuminated optics and your battery dies then the mounts v shape allows you to keep hunting the rest of the day because you can still see your front sight bead. Best option is to allows bring an extra battery along so you can install it if your optic battery dies on you!

Perfect fit

Put a red dot on the Granddaughter's youth 870 20 gage. She loves turckey hunting. The mount is very tight and will not move. I also ordered a camo stock for it to complete the build. This is a sweet set up. I also put a Carlson turckey choke in it. Patterns very nice out to 30 yards.

Scope mount mounted as advertised took about 5 minutes I'm no gun smith wonderful product! My red dot then mounted with no problems. Very stable sighted in no problems.Will recommend to friends older like myself who have to add scopes to shotguns in order to obtain sight advantage!

Great product

Bought this for my wife’s 870. The entire process took less than 10 minutes. Fits like a glove. Super easy to install. Mounted a vortex red dot on and it was a cinch. No challenges to date. Would highly recommend.
