Useful review for decision making
I've shot a lot in competition so there are a few things I look for in a scope: clarity and brightness. Absolutely there in this scope! Other items: the clicks on this scope DO register 1/8 MOA at 100 yards which is very important if you need your scope to be accurate. On this model the crosshairs are exactly the correct thickness so that they don't cover up the intended target, and the Tactical reticle is arranged in MOAs which is extremely useful for wind corrections. Alpen Apex 6-24x50 scope
Scope looks good.. clarity could be improved. 6-24 adjustment is a little tight and should be easier to turn. on vertical and left right adjustments for sighting in you have to tap on the scope to make them move. focus is easy to turn but not uniform at times. I guess I am nitpicky from using more high end scopes...guarantee is great on paper...

I agree with the other two reviews but the scope that was sent is not the scope I ordered. I'm more than a little disappointed in Optics planet for the false advertising. The center portion of the scope is square not streamlined like in the pictures. Other than that it's the same scope.

I agree with "Bucksters" review with just one exception. The scope I received is not the one in the picture. I do not fault the manufacturer for this but rather optics planet. I don't mind spending 400 plus for a scope but would ask the correct pictures are shown. Come on guy's really!!! The center "adjustment knobs" portion of the scope is square not streamlined like the photo. It's very similar to a "Hawke" 30mm scope I've seen. Besides that, it's the same scope.
