This is my third set of Alpen binoculars, all models of the 10x42 size. My wife is an avid "birder" and has used her pair all over the East Coast. My son just reported that his pair, these, were "wonderful" as he watched birds and other wildlife. I have used mine on our property to watch deer, birds and for target spotting. The Alpen brand gives you a lot of quality for a very reasonable price and combined with Optics Planet free shipping you can't beat this deal. Give this product a try, you will probably be glad you did.
