The site is well built and glows nicely in low light conditions. The site fits very tight and went on smoothly. The cost of the site was somewhat overpriced for something so small, and shipping was extremely priced for such a small package. I did nee the package sooner than 7 to 10 days but 3-5 days should not be $16.00 for this part.

The sight fits great and replaced my factory M&P9 sight. Tritium lights up good and orange outline helps me focus on the front sight. Removing factory front sight was very challenging, as it was hard to drift out. This sight drifted in much easier than factory sight removal, but not so easy that I am afraid of it falling out.

I needed to replace an Ameriglo tritium night sight, front sight, after having both front and rear, (AR-AP-SW-745), installed by my favorite gunsmith. I didn't notice it right away that the front sight's tritium vial had NO GLOW to it, just the orange ring. This was fine for daytime shooting, but this is my CCW firearm and since I am out and about at night, the tritium vial being functional was a critical part of the sighting system. This Ameriglo Font Night Sight, (AR-AP-AMOFH-SW212-230-O), was the perfect replacement part for the failed unit.
Cons:
- Obviously somewhat fragile

Ameriglo sights are always bright and in my opinion seem to stay bright longer than other night sights i have used in the past. The orange outline catches the eye very quickly. Optics Planet always has the best price on them.
Pros:
- bright, rugged, and reasonably priced

Black rears with this fluorescent orange tritium make for a very quick sight picture. It did require some hand fitting since it was too snug to install out of the box. Some of the M&P pistols have this issue. I had a shield 9mm that the stock rear sight had to be removed on a milling machine. Ameriglo makes a great product. Optics planet is an excellent supplier.

I put this Tritium Pro Glo night sight on a Smith & Wesson Shield 9MM and what a big difference it makes day or night to sight a target. Good price and quick delivery for this item. I would recommend this item.

Easy to install not bad at all. It is a good mix of both day and night sight. I think it's more of a day sight since the orange is more of the sight then the glowing green but for as little as the glowing green is it flows pretty bright. Not bad over all.

I wish i was told it requires a gunsmith to install this sight. The sight i fine looking. Now i have to find a gunsmith to install it. This all i have to say about this product. Workmanship is superb.

While the packaging says "S&W M&P" I bought this for my S&W Governor as S&W said this was the sight style for it. If you're buying it for the same pistol I did insure you get the .230 height as that's their recommendation as well.
When testing at the range found the height to be perfect for the gun. Just as accurate as the original only easier to see.
The tritium is very bright in the intended low light conditions. Perfect for home defense.
NOTE: If you're not GOOD at sight removal and installation have it done by a professional. If not done with care you could make some serious cosmetic anomalies to your beautiful piece.

I installed this front sight only on my Smith and Wesson M&P shield. This front sight is paired with a rear sight made by 10-8 performance. The rear is a blacked out style. With this combination the Ameriglo front sight really stands out when acquiring a target. I went with the orange color instead of the yellow color as the orange seems to catch my eye better. I have try several combinations to get the perfect sight picture and this works the best. I am going to eventually put this sight on the front of all of my defensive handguns.
