Great scope
All I can say this toy is badass. I used to play with their previous Apollo, that one was cool but Armasight did a great job improving almost every aspect of their thermal clip-on. 4 batteries instead of two (both AA or cr123), power button which is great. Need to figure out how new Flir enhancement...

Anyone want to buy a slightly used thermal sight? It's been repaired twice with no usable hours!
Ordered in February 2015, promised every two weeks for several months. Made a huge mistake with they finally came in sometime around May? or June? and I had a choice to ship and pay or cancel... I sure wish I had canceled.

Good luck lining this up with your day scope.
I don't have any problem with the scope by itself, but good luck if your going to clip this on your gun with your day scope. If your day scope power is 3 or more, which most are, the picture will be distorted.
Also it was a nightmare trying to line it up with my day scope. I finally got it to line up by using two mounts, one on top of the other. Looks terrible.
The clip on to scope adapters that come with it are plastic and cheap, and in my opinion, aren't a efficient mount. Not to mention, none of them fit my 42;mm scope.
In my opinion, this is a stand alone sight, to be used by itself and that's why I would recommend it.

Armasight Apollo-Pro MR 640 Thermal Clip-on Sight 50mm Lens
The folks at Optics Planet were a great help in me finally deciding which thermal scope to purchase. The Scope itself is pretty amazing and I can't wait to get back out and use it again. Its took me a little while to get comfortable with the controls but it has performed well.

Apollo-Pro
I have always been a very demanding person when I am going to make a purchase. You know, when you decide to spend so much, it is good to know that you won’t waste your money. I am hunting all my life and I was looking for the device that will be suitable for this. I wanted compact but effective thing to convert my favorite daytime scope into thermal imaging unit. The Armasight Apollo Pro is perfect for my goals. Quick release mount is very comfortable and easy in use, didn’t have any problems with it. The scope is a little bit heavier and bigger than I expected but I got used to it very fast.

Satisfied all needs
As an experienced hunter I was very picky while choosing a thermal clip-on system. Still didn’t have a chance to try out everything my Apollo Pro offers but so far I am happy with the unit’s performance and battery life time. The biggest advantage of the scope personally for me is an ability to use it around the clock and regardless to weather conditions. It eliminates the need to buy night vision weapon sight. 50 mm lens allows me to identify coyotes 500 meters away at the very edge of a field. This Sunday I plan to check the contrast enhancements, hope the picture will be even closer to perfect.
