$500 for a defective mount
The up down adjustment will not stay in a desired position when locked. My BNVG's will just slide down with each step until bottomed out in the mount. There was obviously no quality control. The real deal!
This is a very robust well-made mount. I had been using a $100 aluminum mount I found on Amazon. That less expensive mount worked, but had a bit of play in it. I felt the less expensive mount was adequate. However, I decided to upgrade to a Wilcox mount, and the differences are obvious. Wilcox mount has tight tolerances, with no play; is thicker, and is a far sturdier feeling mount. I will keep my less expensive mount as a less-than-ideal spare, but my go-to now is this Wilcox mount. As a bonus, I was able to get one of the limited-edition OD green ones.

Solid Mount
This is a very well made mount. The adjustments are stiff from the factory but feel very positive when they lock into place. The Wilcox reputation is apparently well earned. Beware of any sites selling ‘Wilcox’ mounts for suspiciously low prices. I’ve never seen real ones listed below the price range OpticsPlanet has them.

Only NV mount you should consider, despite the cost
The title says it all. These things are the best, most adjustable, most solid NV mounts I've ever seen. I know they are expensive, but you get what you pay for in this case.

I decided to get the g24 to replace the older Norotos head mount. FILBE issue in the Warfare movie.

Awesome but expensive
I’m a big fan of the Wilcox mount. It’s highly adjustable for all types of face shapes and eye positions. I use this mount on both my Team Wendy helmet and my Crye Nightcap. It works great on both but the Nightcap requires a shroud to make this work with it. The only downside is how expensive it is. There was a time when a buddy of mine bought a second PVS-14, he bought the knockoff/airsoft version of the Wilcox mount. It was a real PoS. Unless you are on a very tight budget i would not scrimp. The NV game is unfortunately very pricey
