Great Choice
Finally I found great device for night vision shooting. Its very important for me as for the professional sportsman to choose the right set since the results of my achievements fully depend on it. I ordered CO-MR-SD and mounted it on a Picatinny rail just in front of my 6x day time scope. The first ...

Adequate Night Vision
I've used this scope several times now. It is functional. In the right conditions, you can get a very clear sight picture. It is a little challenging, since it's a Gen 2, you have to have some type of external light source on most nights. The illuminator that comes with it works fairly well for this...

Buyer Beware Fragile Piece of Equipment
I hate writing negative reviews especially after the amount of research I put in prior to buying this product.
I will say I have had positive experiences with Armasight's Customer service both times in 5 months. The unit is being shipped back to them for the second time, the first time they blamed the fact that I bought it from Optics Planet and they were "worried" about this retailer and should have bought it from them direct. Now that it won't turn on again (on the first outing since getting it repaired), I have lost all faith this is a serious product you can count on. I am not exactly sure what recourse I have at this point as I am too far down the road for a refund.
Don't buy this product, I never even had the opportunity to use it in anything less than ideal conditions and hadn't gotten to pull the trigger with it on my scope yet...
It is pretty cool when it did work though, just need something a little more robust.

Mike from GEORGIA
Worked great! Used it on some hogs watched them @300yds with no IR fairly clear picture. With the IR on it was very clear. I'm using the vortex viper pst 1x4x24 scope illum reticule. You will have to use extra high rings(1-1/4") to get everything to line up. The unit is well built and compact. The olny negative I have is you can't leave a battery in it over night even with it in the OFF position it will drain them. Other than that very satisfied

Great product
I have not had a chance to shoot with the Night vision optic but was easy to mount and has a very clear view out to 150 yards (as far as I could see at time). Optics do not appear to interfere with the day scope.

Great unit for the price
Purchased the unit for night hog hunting with an average shot of 100 to 150 yards. Unit was attached in front of a Trijicon scope on my .308 and worked great at that range. With the IR lights adjusted correctly it is very clear up to 200 yards. I had used a friends ATN before and there is no comparision, the Armisight is a much better unit, The gain control and focus are much easier on the Armasight and stay in focus. I purchased the low in gen 2+ because I wanted to see if I like using a clip on, after our last hunt I am sold! Great fun purchase! One note - it took me forever to figure out how to turn the unit on, you have to turn the on/off/SBM clockwise (while pulled out), stand-by mode and the remote also work very well. Also the compact size fit well on the rail even with the large scopes.

Good Value for a starter night vision optic
I was pretty impressed with the quality and clarity of this Gen 2 clip on. I have used Gen 3 scopes in the past and was weary about the quality of a Gen 2 but was pleasantly surprised. This is a great optic for hunting out of a blind with good range out to 200 yards in my opinion. The price made the deal even better.

Not bad but not really a fit for me
I replaced a Gen 1 Armasight scope which was totally awful for this unit. While not bad, it just doesn't really fit for me. I ended up getting Gen III Pinnacle, Auto-Gated PVS-7 googles. The clip-on is fine for hunting from a blind but when walking around 1700 acres at night it is pretty useless. I rigged up IR illuminators at my feeders and that works pretty good. I am using a Nikon 1-4 X20 and a Trijicon ACOG 4X with the clip-on. I haven't really completed retired this unit yet but I enjoy using the goggles with an IR laser for night hunting now. If you need to sit and watch a feeder or something with limited movement I'd say a clip-on may work OK. One thing... the 20mm mount I bought for $100 never worked good at all with the Nikon, it never seemed to even fit. I ended up buying a spacer and using the rail mount option instead.
Pros:
- Decent clarify
- Much better than Gen 1
Cons:
- Clip-on mounting brackets not very good
- Pretty heavy
- Not good for walking around in the dark
Best Used for:
- stationary hunting situations

perfect for pig hunting under 200 yards in clear weather
Great product and perfect for predator hunting out to 200-300 yards in clear weather! Super packaging and setup from Armasight- first class product and support. You get what you pay for! I went with a clip on system so I could use it on multiple platforms without altering the day sights. Perfect choice.
