I purchased this safety selector to put on an Smith and Wesson M&P AR15-22. Since the existing one and its detent plunger were plastic, I had to make a brass plunger to replace the plastic one. Easy enough to do with a short piece of 1/8" brass rod, cut it to length, round one end. This selector switch has knobs on the ends that give your thumb easy purchase to make a quick switch when you are transitioning from one target to the next. Add to that the short throw when you use the 45 degree detents and you have a really fast safe/fire transition.

Easy enough install. Color actually matched my Rise Armament RA-535 trigger fairly well, not that that’s too priority. Didn’t think I’d like the ambidextrous side of the safety, but the short throw being on my non-dominant side actually allows perfect leverage with my forefinger to make going safety off incredibly easy and natural.
Like most parts, it took a few dozen on/off sequences to loosen up the edges and become less resistant.
Also, thank you Optics Planet for making United States the top option in the Country list on this review form.

It has a nice, clean and crisp.Feel when switching from safe to fire.
It's not the best safety selector I owned, but for the price. It's great.

It works but i wanted a 45 safety and i thought this one looked pretty good and i liked the little tabs at the end of the levers because im always wearing gloves and they help in manipulation, but after i installed it it just is sloppy. It catches if you hit it without the rifle being charged (which i dont do on purpose, but the little tabs catch things sometimes) then if you charge it while its caught it wont go off safe until you press the trigger and flip it simultaneously. Also, it fits loose and protrudes in a weird way. And before anyone thinks it's an install issue, i ran it to my smith, and he took it out and reinstalled it, and it still does the same thing.
Honestly, if it's a fun gun or range toy and it looks like you want, im sure it's fine, but for anything you need to rely on id find one with tighter tolerances

Just installed it on my SFAR. I used the 45 degree detent. Easy to figure out how to install.
I thought the barrel on the right side would not be intrusive. I was wrong. It rubs on my trigger finger knuckle when in the “Fire” position.
Another unwanted trait is that it almost goes into the “Safe” position with the hammer not cocked.
It gives the illusion that the firearm is Safe, but it is not.
It will be replaced at the earliest opportunity.

Can't give a great review, haven't had a chance to put it on. But it's a good looking safety.

Awesome Safety selector just what I needed. Easy to install. Really like the 45 degree. Very durable. Will definitely buy more for my other rifles. Great product recommend this for anyone who is looking for an ambidextrous safety.

I've tried a number ambi selectors, from very cheap to reasonable, and of the six different ones I currently have this one is by far my current favorite. It toggles easily but still has a satisfying snap. The larger barrels on the ends make it easy to feel with winter gloves but stay out of the way barehanded. The only downside, which is tiny, was that the screws don't come with thread locker applied but that's easy to fix.
