Spring binds up - Armaspec C Sound Mitigation Gen3 Buffer

The spring will bind up if there is as little as 45 degrees of clockwise rotation (twist) in the spring. Just 45 degrees will cause the spring to open up in diameter and it will not fit in the inner diameter of the metal buffer causing the spring to not compress inside the buffer and binding, when it binds you will not get full travel. You will have short stroke similar to having a rifle length spring in a carbine buffer tube (but worse) . This is not a reliable option for anyone who uses their weapon for self defense.
