I didn't realize what I was missing out until I installed this. Original bought to use in combination with a lighter bcg and adjustable gas block for less felt recoil. It did the job noticeably well and at this price, it's hard for the competition to beat.

Kind of irritated at the
So after I purchased this product Armaspec came out with the next generation and apparently fixed all the issues with this product which doesn’t help the people that purchased the original… The Allen screw that you have to tighten against another Allen screw to assemble the thing constantly comes loose and when it comes undone you have to disassemble the buffer tube... The other issue is the O-ring that cushions the bolt carrier gets destroyed within firing a few rounds and becomes debris in the action…

AR-10 Armaspec
I have an aero precision AR-10 that wasn’t cycling after a shot. I replaced the buffer and spring with this product and my AR-10 started to work perfect. Recoiled nice but really didn’t notice a sound change. Great product, I will buy again.

Stick with Stoner
I once upon a time I was a fan of these units. The cycling is smooth but I have begun to remove these from my stable. All of the SRS buffers have had the attaching hardware loosened up on me. The o-ring gets chewed up quick. I bought an early 308 version which had a design flaw. Contacted Armaspec and I had to buy the parts to correct it. Stick with Eugene Stoner’s design. If it ain’t broke…

FAILURE TO FEED
consistent failure to feed issue will not cycle correctly. emailed Armaspec customer service over a month ago. i received an automated response email stating they would contact me in 1-3 business days. no response at all since. I have called during their stated regular business hours and had to leave a voice mail. no response. would not recommend under any circumstance.

Love it, reduced spring noise
This was my first aftermarket buffer/spring set up.
Worked great for my 308 build coupled with an adjustable gas block. Noticeably reduced that buffer spring noise in the buffer tube. Can’t speak as to if it reduced recoil as it is the only buffer assy I’ve used in the rifle. Easy to install and clean.

This is an absolute failure.
Ordered this for a .300blk build, dropped in easy but failed on the first 50 rounds, the locking washer is barely able to hold the buffer to the spring and when it separates... Good luck getting your gun back apart. I ripped this junk out, if you can't build a product that's reliable it has no purpose in a rifle.

Stealth Recoil Spring
Well made product. Felt recoil has been reduced significantly. I popped this in my 300 black out build and it operates flawlessly right out of the box. Much quieter than standard buffer and spring. I would definitely recommend this product on any AR15 platform.

Broke within two mags
Order a Gen3 SRS for an AR build I had. I put 2 mags worth of ammo through the weapon and then noticed a rattling sound. After tearing the rifle down I found that the wire lock(looks like a piece of flat wire spring) had come off and the entire buffer assembly was no longer being held together I contacted armaspec as they offer a warranty. They offered to replace the part and then went radio silent. No replace part not return address to send them the part. And this is after 5 emails. Very disappointed. I will not own anything armaspec now due to the very poor customer service

ArmaSpec recoil system excellent quality high performance product!
Pistol, shotgun, rifle, and submachine gun competitive shooter since mid-80s, T.A.S.K. Match Director 1992, NFA RO 1994, NRA RSO, and Constitutionalist gun nut since birth! Early days required CNC machining gain an edge on the competition! Now name brand manufacturers and aftermarket company make products pennies on the dollar in comparison! I own ArmaSpec 3.3, 3.8, and 4.7 for different applications and with the assistance of ArmaSpec recoil system able fine tune my AR15/M4/M16 rifles with reticule wiggles a little on 8” steel plate targets beyond 100yds and maintains excellent reliability! Doesn’t matter if I’m running carbine, mid-length or full 20” barrels ArmaSpec allows fine tuning without relying on quirky adjustable gas blocks tends to fail after few thou rounds of carbonation buildup!

Tech help is pretty much missing
Got these yesterday, very excited to get this in my AR pistol. Won't work! This will not work with a stock hinge(SA), as the bolt extention hits the middle, which is stationary. Won't even cycle. I did throw this in my M4 and it is beautiful. I will be putting the other in another build I am working on, but just an unforseen circumstance, so can't put it in with a hinged stock.
