Very nice illuminated reticle. Just enough info without the clutter of the full tree typical on FFP scopes.
Pros:
- simple reticle design
- smooth turrets
Cons:
- illumination controls very stiff
- elevation range is limited

This scope is a game changer. The clarity, brightness and overall precision seperate it from the pack. The features are numerous. This has the HMR-MOA reticle and it was stellar at the range. For hunting you might prefer the BDC reticle. The mag bar isn't as well marked as my Vortex' and the focal adjustment is very fine requiring a lot of turning but the picture is worth it. Elev.and windage adj.are easy and even the screw caps feel precise. There is even a free set of flip caps for the objectives. It's no lightweight though. With bases and rings she'll add two pounds to the rig.Hire a sherpa!

This is the third one of these Athlon scope models I've bought in the last year. I buy the BDC models as I prefer the bullet drop recticle for hunting. I find that between the 308 and 6.5 creedmoor they are close to the segments for drop out to 300 yards. I just bought this one for my 270 and I'll let you know how close it is later. My only issue this time was I thought the scope had been lost in shipping because it took over 16 days to get here, but that's no refection on scope quality. Athlon scopes have great glass for the money and have impressed me. I now own four.
Pros:
- Cost and Clarity
- cost, clear glass

I now have three of these exact scopes on three different calibers hunting rifles. One sits on top of the new SA Waypoint 2020 in 308 and 6.5 Creedmoor and the third replaced a old and I mean old Bushnel Banner 3X9 scope on my 270 Winchester model 70 XTR that I bought new in the early 80's. These were a great fit on the Waypoints and so far this year alone have scored three bucks and a doe. My son missed a nice buck with his much less expensive scope the night before I gave him the 308. Next day he bagged a nice buck. Why, because where we were hunting was dense pines with thick brush and even though he had about 45 minutes left in legal shooting light, he just could not get a clear sight picture with his scope. Enough on that, but I can honestly say that these Athlon scopes collect much more light and give a clearer picture in low light and overcast days. They are a little on the heavier side, but they work great, clear class even on the edges, side parallax works awesome. If your looking for a great hunting scope for the money, its hard to beat these. I did the BDC model and found that with both 308 and 6.5 they are pretty darn close to the reticle. The only thing I'd like to see is locking turrets. But I also have never knocked it off zero and if I did, easy to return to zero. Hope this helps
Pros:
- clean clear glass, good BDC rectile
Cons:
- little heavy, no locking turrets
Best Used for:
- hunting or PRS out to around 600

I wanted a scope for my 17hmr that would be perfect for closer shots and perform when I wanted to shoot longer distances. This scope has been great for both. Highly recommend!

Very clear and crisp glass, easy to sight in and adjusts accurately. Surprisingly less weight than my other comparable scopes. Has nice clean lines and looks great. My new favorite scope.

Great value for money. Bright and clear. Adjustments work accurately. Has red illumination near crosshair. I got MOA version which I prefer for deer hunting. Was highly recommended by my shooter friends who had previously purchased same scope. Comes with flip up scope caps. I’m pleased.

Bought this for my Remington model 700 chambered in 300 RUM. This scope is super clear and was very easy to zero in.
