I recently got into rim fire shooting on a somewhat serious level. I have a old 512 x Remington rifle that always shot good. I recently found out of a certain type ammo that it really seem to like. I want to test this old rifle to the limit. I needed a scope that I could push this old rifle. I found this scope that is not really that expensive and I though it would be worth while to try. I mounted the scope and zeroed it with the ammo that I was going to use. I zeroed the scope for 50 yds. I have not done anything to the rifle except mount this scope and use the ammo that I mention. Good tight groups, scope seems to adjust very well and thus far is holding zero. So far I am impressed. To further test this scope I like to push the limit. I have been using playing cards inserted in the target holder and trying to split the cards @ 50 yards. So far I have been very successful. My point to this if I can see playing card turned edgewise and successful hitting that target the scope in my option is doing what I wanted the scope to do. So I am satisfied.
Pros:
- very clear and adjusted well

Great magnification range for a .22 caliber, and it has an excellent rectile specifically calibrated for bullet drop on a rimfire. What sets this scope apart from others similar to it is the fact that it has a parallax adjustment that goes all the way down to 10 yards. It's not too large or too heavy either. Very high quality scope, and easy to recommend.

I love Athlon scopes. I got one of these to put on my 10/22 and it is amazing so I got another to put on an old squirrel-stock Marlin Glenfield Model 60 that I'm restoring to squirrel woods glory. I also love me some Aguila ammo. With their 38gr CPHP 22lr rounds the BDC in the reticle is spot-on and will get you further than you'd ever shoot at a squirrel, at least IMO. I'd say you could probably use this scope for longer shots too, IDK if people use 22lr for like prairie dog hunting but this scope might serve well in that application too. The side focus is key and not something you'd usually get at this price-point and 4 power is not too much at very short distances. I can see clearly at 4x across a short room so 10+ yards is gonna be fine too. Get one, you'll like it.
Pros:
- Price
- features
- glass
- Size & Weight

Upon receiving this scope I put it on my 22 mag. It was very clear very accurate and very adjustable. It is ‘what they say’ it is.

I have just received this scope and mounting it on my Kidd 10/22 , the issue I am running into is, if you like your scope as close as possible to the barrel, you are NOT going to be able to use 1 inch, low or medium rings due to this scope having the purge plug on the bottom middle portion of the scope, the plug sticks out so much where it will not clear low/medium height scope rings, it is plain annoying , this is something the buyer should be aware of. On the other hand, the glass appears to be very nice ! , turrets have nice tactile clicks and the zoom ring is not overly tight like some other inexpensive vortex or leopold scopes.
Pros:
- Lightweight
- clear glass
- Tactile and audible
Cons:
- mounting option
- can't use it with low / medium rings.

Very pleased with scope. Side focus down to ten yards works great for the indoor 50ft range. Seems to track well. Would buy again.

Purchased for my 1974 Marlin Model 99 semi-auto 22LR, to replace 4x Bushnell that came with the gun. After finding ammo that produced 1/2" groups at 50 yards (SK High Velocity), wanted to up my optics game. The Athlon Neos has amazing glass for this price, side focus, parallax down to 10 yards, and is sized to fit my smaller carbine. The scope punches above its weight and can easily go on a better gun. OP purchase process easy, and delivery was prompt, as always.
Best Used for:
- 10 - 300 yards, plinking, varmint hunting, 22LR

I wanted a Scope for a 10/22, and this Optic seemed to fit the bill. Once I received it I was very impressed with the glass at the price point. Easily dialed in! Lifetime warranty to boot!
Pros:
- glass & turret adjustment, reticle,durability

My obsession is bench shooting 22LR and I have probably 20 of them that i shoot regularly and compete as often as I can. I have Vortex, Leupold, Bushnell and Nikon optics on my bench rifles. I have some expensive Euro competition rifles but One of the classes at the local range competition is rifle and scope can not exceed $450. It's quite a task to find a scope and rifle to shoot 1/2 groups and keep the cost under 450 bucks......trust me I've spent hours experimenting. I had seen some you tube vids with these Athlon scopes and as my eyes continue to get worse with age, i needed to move up from 9 power so I thought I'd try one of these Athlon scopes that gave me more magnification at a dime size bull at 50 yards. I was VERY satisfied as the sight picture is brilliantly clear even for these tired eyes and I found that I liked the 2 different focus and magnification options so I can dial it right into where my eyes see the target with clarity. Better, clearer site picture means better groups and that's what I'm finding. I'm ordering several more of these scopes.
