I am a deer control agent. I get my pay check from shooting deer. I needed a scope that would be clear enough and powerful enough to allow me to distinguish a female deer from a button buck ( we try to only remove doe deer). This scope without a doubt does that. it is "chrystal" clear. I had a Leupold that was good but NOT as good as this Athlon. And yes, you can see 308 cal. bullets on a white backer at 600 yards!! If you want a good scope, don"t buy this one However, if you want a great scope....this IS the one. Money well spent.
Excellent scope with incredible clarity.
I've looked through some higher end spotting scopes in the past and this one is excellent. Eye relief is really good and the clarity and definition of any object you are looking at is great. I was able to read the lettering on a soda can at over 300 yards with this scope. Bullet holes can be seen easily at 300 yards. Overall I highly recommend this scope.

Very nice scope
We used it Elk hunting in sustained 20-30 mph winds watching a herd at over 2000yds,stayed clear the whole time. We were able to pick out small antlers with ease. I'm very satisfied with this scope.

Great product after 1 hiccup
Scope would not attach to a tripod. After several phone calls and photographs to Athlon, we finally figured out it was shipped missing an insert for the screw hole. They shipped one out immediately so after a week, I had aan outstanding (and useable) spotting scope.
