Sportsman review
This spotting scope works great and like other Athalon products is an exellent value at the mid price range. Now unboxing and getting the new as delivered from the factory scope? No days, this was an unchecked return, smudge lenses, no manual, missing scope covers. Shame no one there can do QC on returns. The condition received explains the price. Excellent product but blind to quality vendor.

conflicted on this purchase
It's a good quality spotting scope but no bipod and the case looks like they couldn't decide if they wanted it made for the straight or angled version. Thought with a 85mm lense it would be easy to see at full zoom but you still have the sides closing in on you unless you are looking perfectly through which makes it harder to find your target after taking your eye off.
It is very clear at lower levels but 22 size holes 200 yards or more are harder to see. Kind of wish I went with a better quality scope but would need to spend twice the money at least. So in short ok for the price but if you have the money pay more and get more.

5.56 groups at 200yds
Just wanted a spotting scope to see 5.56 groupings at 200yds, don't think it could see holes much further than that. Glass starts to get fuzzy and deteriorate past 40x. Understood you get what you pay for; got this for a bit over $300 so i would say this was a great buy.

Excellent Spotting scope for the money
Very good visualization at 300 yards and a lifetime warranty to boot. Love this product. It is durable and it mounts well on typically available tripods and balance/stability is excellent. Focus is crisp. It comes with a very convenient carry case

Athlon spotting scope
I purchased this scope for an upcoming Mule Deer/Antelope hunt in Wyoming. I have been using this scope behind my house glassing the mountain hiking trail at 1 1/2 miles. This scope is clear and a great value for the price!

Can’t beat it for the price. I was having trouble viewing target hits at 200 yards. I can see romex staples on a construction site half a mile away with this scope .Excellent. If you need better you will have to spend 4 times as much

Bang for your Buck
You can’t beat this spotting scope for the price point. Feels solid and not that noticeable of a difference from Vortex Razor at 4 times the cost. If you need a scope to last you a couple hunts a season, look no further!
