Athlon Argos 8-34x56 Mil Reticle Scope
This is my second Athlon scope in the Argos family of scopes. My first Athlon Argos was a Gen2 6-24x50 scope I used for competing in a 100 yard competition. I am now competing at 300 yards and needed a little more scope. The Gen3 Athlon Argos 8-34x56 seems to fit the bill for this distance.
I like the improvements between the Gen 2 and Gen 3 such as the built-in throw lever on the magnification dial and the gnarled dials on the parallax and fast focus rings over the Gen 2 model. The parallax will allow for a 25 yard zero out to infinity. Full disclosure, I haven't tried to zero at infinit...

Great scope for the money
A friend told me about Athlon and what a great value they are. So I bought one. Out preforms some my older Leupold's. It's a little overkill of my .22,but my eyes are older now,and I need all the help I can get. OP got it to me very quickly and packaging was secure. Same friend is a stocking Athlon dealer, and he couldn't beat OP's pricing. I'd have to say this is a win/win for me,and overall,I couldn't be happier. Thanks OP!

The scope showed up in perfect condition and is a solid scope. The problem is that the scope will not focus. The target is blurry in all conditions. I have many cheaper scopes and some more expensive and they all focus better than this scope. I would purchase something other than this scope. There are better scopes for less money.
Pros:
- Solid build
Cons:
- None

This is for the argos Gen3 8-34x56. I received the scope in perfect condition and everything works well but it will not focus. I have tried it in several different conditions, hot, cold, sunny, cloudy and nothing seems to work. The target is always blurry. I have many scopes, some cheap and some more but all of them focus better than this scope. There are much better options and many for less money. I was really hoping this would be be better.

Athlon Argos BTR Gen3
Very Clear glass for the price point. All scope features work well. No issues so far.

Love Athlon
Crisp lens, crisp clicks, only issue i have with this particular model is that its pretty heavy but my others are a bit lighter. The higher magnification makes it heavier I guess. Either way great so far.

Excellent budget scope
I have been exceptionally happy with the Athlon product line and this is no exception. I've pretty much stayed in the budget scopes for use in Benchrest and NRL competition shooting. The quality seems as good as any scope I've owned and they are jammed with features. Even the lower and mid end has decent glass. I have had absolutely nothing to complain about and if anything these scopes over deliver. I really appreciate the upgraded/new reticle on this specific model with the Gen 3 and relocating the IR dial to the body. The Parallax range is exceptional for NRL. Someday I'll probably buy some of Athlon's high end products but so far I haven't had a need to and the price point on these lets me stay in the Base/Mfg class for competitions. If you haven't tried them then you should you may be surprised what you get especially with the Argos line.

Athlon scope
Very nice scope. Waiting for rings to be able to mount scope on CZ 457. I like all the features and especially the high magnification. Going to use for target shooting.
